Editing & Proofreading
Establishing an Online Presence for Your Business
I am a skilled content developer, proofreader, and editor with a bachelor’s degree in English/writing and over 15 years experience. Research and writing are my passions.
Many businesses have a problem to solve: a great product, service or website, but with no one on staff with the interest or flair for writing about it. I can help you meet any authoring needs you may have for your business.
My main areas of specialization are technical writing (user guides), articles, blogs, other website content, proofreading and editing (grant proposals), and writing product descriptions.
I am also an extremely efficient and organized project manager and problem-solver. I have worked in a 100% telecommute full-time position while also managing multiple side projects for over 8 years, and I can no longer imagine having it any other way!
Specialties: Website content development and article writing, concept generation, website design, proofreading, editing copy, documentation conversion, document design, designing visual language, user-interface design and testing, mobile application design, and project management.
Software Specialties: enterprise asset management systems (EAM), work management systems, customer relationship management systems (CRM), purchasing and procurement systems, Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK).

Ways to Hire Me
You can contact me directly to discuss your project.
I am also active on the most popular freelance marketplaces such as Elance, guru, and Thumbtack. Basically I’ve needed to join each one as clients have requested that I use the one that they use. And I am happy to join any of the others to get your business.
Freelance marketplace sites provide an invaluable service to both the person hiring and the freelancer in that they make sure that you can find the right person for the project while they help freelancers find tons of work. These sites make it easy to post the job, get a pool of applicants, hire and pay. They all offer payment protection for both the person hiring and the freelancer.
Thumbtack allows you to shop around for the perfect person to complete the job that you need to have done. Enter your project and some details, and within a short time Thumbtack will introduce you to several interested and qualified professionals in your area. You can compare their fees, check their profiles, and get all the information you need to hire the right person. Maybe it will be me!
Similar to Thumbtack, Guru offers a very simple interface, easy to work links, a large pool of
freelancers and employers, easy dispute resolution, nice rating system and easy payment system for freelancers, excellent SafePay system.
Also similar to the previously mentioned sites, Elance seems to offer a higher caliber of freelancers to employers who also pay a little more. They also charge a little more. So I suppose it is all relative.
